We are proud to announce that Beer and Bites had another record breaking annual event, raising more than $640,000 for the South Sound CARE Foundation!
Each and every one of us knows someone - a parent, a child, a friend, a colleague - who has suffered from cancer. Thankfully, more and more people are surviving cancer today. Many are right here in the South Puget Sound Region where Dr. Frank Senecal and the South Sound CARE Foundation provide research, clinical trials and new treatment options to care for and extend the lives of South Sound Cancer Patient's.
To support ground-breaking research, trials and patient care, on October 13, Rush hosted the 5th annual Beer & Bites fundraiser. Rush, underwrites the event to ensure that all funds raised 100% benefit the South Sound CARE Foundation. 650 guests (the most ever at B&B) ate, drank, bid on donated auction items, played a lifesaver raffle and danced the night away at the Narrows Marina in Tacoma. 51 Rush Employees and extended Rush Family members volunteered for days to ensure the evening was a huge success.
At Rush, we are extremely proud to support and give back in our local community. The importance of bringing treatment to patients in our own community is paramount. South Sound CARE spares families hours of time sitting in traffic on the road to Seattle, or traveling out of state, and gives them the ability to live at home while they receive treatment.
