This summer, I’m working as a Project Engineer Intern with Rush Commercial—it’s been an awesome experience so far. I'm learning the ins and outs of construction and getting to see what it really takes to bring projects to life. I’m incredibly grateful for this scholarship which will help me financially get one step closer to my goal of working in development and making a real impact in my community.
My passion for construction began in high school. I was a carpenter building Habitat for Humanity homes through a trades program. It was fulfilling knowing my hard work was helping provide stability and affordable homes for community members in need, and I fell in love with the building process as well as the culture of construction. I want to continue to work on projects that positively impact the world around me, utilizing new technologies & blending quality building practices & methods.
