In June, the Rush Commercial Construction team volunteered at the AGC Build Your Future event at UW. The goal of the event is to give a broad introduction to construction careers for local high school students.

AGC classroom Rush closed out the week-long event with an estimating, scheduling and building exercise for the students. In groups of 2-3, the students worked to estimate and schedule the construction of an 8' by 8' wood structure. As the final exercise, they got to create the finished product. Through this event the students gained estimating, scheduling, and teamwork skills, and ultimately saw something turn from drawings to a tangible product!
