The Rush Companies is looking for a dynamic, high performing and results-driven Financial Analyst to join our team! The Financial Analyst will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting financial data as well as provide insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making for key stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interface with business team, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Work with predictive models for project forecasting.
  • Establish project budget structure and account codes.
  • Monthly and project variance analysis.
  • Assist with cash flow planning and forecasting.
  • Budgeting and change management.
  • Monthly financial accruals.
  • Contract and productivity analysis.
  • Collecting, weighing, analyzing, tabulating, and maintaining cost data to be used in developing individual estimates for housing construction.
  • Analyze business profitability and interpret financial reports.

Job Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Job Requirements 

  • 5+ years in a high-volume data entry position
  • At least 3 years of experience processing AP
  • Strong math skills/functionality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Proficient with ten-key and keyboarding
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Education:  

  • A./B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in similar role and industry preferred

Experience: 

  • Strong working knowledge of office/field communication
  • Permitting experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of BuildPro is a plus, but not required
  • Jurisdiction background knowledge preferred

Benefits and Compensation

  • Compensation range: $78,000 - $100,000
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Employer paid life insurance, Flexible spending account, Tuition Assistance, 401 (k) Matching, PTO, Holiday Pay and Bonus Pay.

Physical requirements:  

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
