Giving back continues to be an important part of who we are at Rush. In 2025, our team once again came together to support a wide range of organizations across the South Sound, showing up for our neighbors, our partners, and the causes that matter most.

While the Rush Gives Committee helps organize and coordinate volunteer opportunities, the real impact comes from our team members. Their generosity, time, and willingness to get involved are what truly make a difference. From sponsorships to toy and food drives to hands-on volunteer days, these collective efforts reflect the heart of Rush.

On behalf of the Rush Gives Committee, thank you to every team member who stepped up, gave back, and helped strengthen our communities this past year.

Below is a look at the organizations Rush was proud to support throughout 2025.

Highlights from 2025

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Great Strides

Rush has proudly served as the premier sponsor of the Gig Harbor Great Strides fundraising event since 1996. Thanks to the continued generosity of our team and community partners, the 2025 walk raised $68,000 in support of cystic fibrosis research and patient care, contributing to a cumulative total of more than $1.1 million since the event began. This year's walk will be the 30th anniversary, learn more here!

Habitat for Humanity – Build Day

Rush volunteers rolled up their sleeves during this year’s Build Day, working on foundations and framing at a neighborhood in Proctor. It was a meaningful opportunity to support affordable housing while working side-by-side as a team.

Holiday Stocking Stuffer Drive

Rush donated more than 115 filled Christmas stockings, Hanukkah and Christmas gift bags, along with a generous assortment of toys and gifts to children and families supported by the YWCA of Tacoma and the Fish Food Bank in Gig Harbor. Rush led this initiative by providing the majority of the gifts, with employees generously contributing additional donations that expanded the reach and impact of the effort.

With supplies generously donated by Gray Lumber, Rush volunteers helped eight classrooms build birdhouses for chickadees. This project supported environmental education while addressing habitat loss caused by non-native plant growth.

Special Shout-Out: Acer House Team

Team members from the Acer House project partnered with the project owner, Great Expectations, to spend the day building tiny houses through Sound Foundations NW. This organization collaborates with nonprofits like the Low Income Housing Institute to create permanent low-income housing and support local tiny home villages. Their hands-on efforts exemplify Rush’s commitment to meaningful, lasting impact.
